When such truck routes are established and designated by appropriate signs, the operator of any vehicle as designated in Section 10.48.010 of this code, shall drive on such routes and none other, except when necessary to traverse another street or streets to destinations for the purpose of making pickups or deliveries of goods, merchandise, freight, or materials and then only by such deviation as is reasonably necessary. In no event shall any person park or leave standing on any street, shoulder, right-of-way, or portion thereof, any motor truck in excess of eighteen feet in length, or any truck tractor, road tractor, or any trailer, semi-trailer, or any single vehicle or compilation of the above having a manufacturer’s gross rating of twelve thousand pounds or more.
