The code enforcement officer shall attend the meeting of the city council at the time designated in the notice, to show cause, provide evidence and report on any other matters desired by the city council concerning the nuisance. Thereupon, if satisfied that the nuisance exists, the city council shall, by resolution, find the nuisance to exist, and order the code enforcement officer to proceed with the work of abating the nuisance, pursuant to the provisions of this chapter.
